Dead Theologians Society

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. (Romans 12:1-2, The Message)

Chapter Eleven - Conclusion

Warning

The choice is yours. You can continue following the teachings of dead theologians, or follow the Living God. If you believe that following a dead theologian is the same as following Jesus, please earnestly pray for confirmation. However, as I have written and spoken, Christianity is a relationship between Jesus and those that trust that He will save them when they die. One might call it a dynamic relationship, where Jesus becomes more than our Lord, Savior, and King, He is also our Friend. We need to be disciples who we can truthfully say that we love Jesus with all of our heart, all our soul, and with all our mind. When committed to someone like Jesus, we should be willing to do anything He asks. As He will never ask you to do something contrary to His Word or in any way compromise Scripture. Understanding that His love for us is beyond comprehension, He can’t love more and He won’t love less.

Don’t know Jesus, but wish to accept Him as your Savior? Here is a prayer that you can say and be forgiven without any further delay. “Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
