Gog and Magog

Introduction

The prophet Ezekiel wrote about an unusual invasion against Israel that has yet to occur as recorded in Ezekiel chapters 38-39. Since the same names can also be found in the book of Revelation many believe that this battle will be a component of the end-of-time sequence of events. But due to some inconsistencies between the two accounts others believe it will be a separate event.

To aggravate any analysis is the fact that Ezekiel states the names of the nations using regional names known during his time. Which means that not everyone is in agreement of the identity of the players. But we know enough to understand what is going on and what the results will be, so to begin with we know it hasn’t already occurred in history.
